You will find yourself immersed in the unique desert environment, with distant views of the La Sal Mountains adding to the scenic backdrop.

Planning your visit to the Windows Trail is straightforward, though some considerations are helpful. The trailhead shares parking with the Double Arch Trail, so arrive early, especially during peak seasons, to secure a spot. Turret Arch

Highlight • Natural Monument

Although this arch receives less attention to its next door neighbors, Turret Arch is yet another amazing formation in the Windows Area. Named for the small "turret" jutting up on one side of the arch, Turret Arch is certainly worth the visit if in the area and from its base, you also get amazing views of the Windows directly across from you.

North Window Arch

Highlight • Natural Monument

This is the Northern Arch of the Windows (or the Spectacles) formation. The trail takes you right up under this amazing arch! North Window Arch is separated from South Window Arch by what some call "the nose bridge." And while its hard to pry your eyes away from it, directly behind you sits Turret Arch, another amazing named feature in this famous area in the park, which is also worth your attention; you get great views of aThe Windows Formation from Turret Arch.

Double Arch

Highlight • Natural Monument

Double Arch is the tallest arch in Arches National Park. This unique arch was formed by downward water erosion, rather than side-to-side arches like most of the other arches in the park, and allowed for two arches to share the same foundation their outer legs. This impressive feature towers above the desert floor and is a must-see if in the park. It is an extremely popular site (for good reason!), so be sure to try to get to the trailhead early.
