Anyone who thinks that the Netherlands is only flat will find out today that this is not the case here in Gelderland. This circular walk of more than 12 kilometers takes you through the Bergherbos, located 93 meters above NAP. So today you can go up and down wonderfully in the Dutch hilly landscape.

And not only that, there are many more highlights today: just before halfway through the walk you arrive at viewpoint 'Kale Jacob'. From here you have a beautiful view of the Lower Rhine Valley and the rolling surroundings. Did you feast your eyes? Then you walk on to the second Highlight, where history buffs can lose their egg. After more than 6 kilometers you can take a look at one of the cooking bunkers that are hidden in the forest. Finally, just before the end of your walk, you can romp or rest on the large sand hill at Beek. Fun for young and old!

Take enough food and drink with you in your bag along the way. You can picnic in peace and quiet at various places and catch your breath for the continuation of your journey.

The route starts at 't Peeske' tavern, where you can enjoy a snack and a drink before or after the walk. You can also park your car here. Close to the start is the Beek, 't Peeske bus stop for those who come by public transport. Bus line 196 departs from Wehl station to this stop.
