Hiking
Past the historic buildings of Bad Wünnenberg, which are worth seeing, through the picturesque forest in the Waldbachtal and along the rushing Aa, you can hike comfortably on the Kneipp Energy Path and experience the five pillars of Kneipp's teachings up close. The Kneipp oasis and the barefoot path are a wonderful experience for young and old.
You can easily reach the starting point at Spanckenhof in Bad Wünnenberg by bus. From the beautiful half-timbered house from the 18th century you hike the 50 meters up to the upper town, the historic district of Bad Wünnenberg. Information boards with background information on the mighty defense tower, the magnificent church and the old warehouse invite you to discover them.
You leave the city behind and walk through the beautiful forest in the Waldbachtal nature reserve. Here you can watch nature awaken and relax. Feel free to close your eyes and pay attention to the sounds you hear - the rustling of the green beech leaves in the wind or the chirping of the many birds. A highlight in the forest are the Six Brothers Beeches, which stand close together.
The path finally leads you to the Aatal nature experience. Heck cattle graze on the lush meadows in the valley and you can devote yourself entirely to the element of water in the Kneipp oasis. A little further on, 20 different surfaces appeal to your senses on the barefoot path at the picturesque paddling pond, before you can make yourself comfortable on one of the revolving loungers in the spa park. Filled up with fresh energy you follow the Aa back to the Spanckenhof.
