Very nice and quiet route. May 11, 2022. A wonderful scent accompanied us from the wild flowers, wild herbs almost all the way. Super good view of the sea and in the distance and for a very long time. With us, the distance view was unfortunately limited by haze in the distance. We could see Sicily, Etna, but unfortunately not the volcanic islands. A lot of lizards can be seen. Butterflies and other insects. We came close to wild boars twice. You couldn't see them, but you could hear them in the immediate vicinity with the young animals. That was a little weird. The route is highly recommended.
Beautiful circular hike starting on Monte St.Elia via Palmi, which alone is worth the trip. Great view with the whole bay to Sicily and Stromboli, looks like Lummerland to me original. The tour is also in the Rother hiking guide Calabria (No. 45) and is described there as exposed. Nothing noticed, no rope and helmet necessary, nowhere difficult, pure enjoyment!
