Now in winter the path is not maintained, the grass is sometimes shoulder high and there are thorns that reach far into the path. Nevertheless, the path is passable and offers great views.

Beautiful circular hike starting on Monte St.Elia via Palmi, which alone is worth the trip. Great view with the whole bay to Sicily and Stromboli, looks like Lummerland to me original. The tour is also in the Rother hiking guide Calabria (No. 45) and is described there as exposed. Nothing noticed, no rope and helmet necessary, nowhere difficult, pure enjoyment!

The tour is very beautiful. Fantastic views, green paths. Shade and lots of nature in between. However, I strongly recommend long trousers, or preferably zip trousers. In some places there are lots of ferns, thorns and sometimes even nettles.
