Niebüll Water Tower

Highlight • Monument

The old water tower stands prominently at the station, which travelers (to Sylt) can hardly miss. The landmark of Niebüll was built in 1908 according to plans of the Altona Railway Directorate from 1898 in the youth style to supply the steam locomotives with water. In 1972 the steam locomotive era ended in Niebüll and the water tower finally lost its function. It should even be torn down. But thanks to the efforts of the city of Niebüll and the Nordfriesland-Nord district craftsmen's association, the historic building was preserved and refurbished by apprentices as part of their training between 2012 and 2015. Today you can spend the night there for tourists. You can find out more details about the history here: shz.de/lokales/nordfriesland-tageblatt/niebueller-wasserturm-wird-zum-hotel-id17370306.html

Niebüll Park Cemetery

Highlight • Structure

The central point of the park cemetery on Gather Kandstraße is its Easter chapel,
in which relatives have been able to say goodbye to their deceased since 1937.

In 2014, the memorial to the fallen of the world wars was also moved here from its previous location in Deezbüll.
The Niebüll town path leads directly past the cemetery.
