August 29, 2024,Walchensee bei Einsiedl – Isartal bei Vorderriss Runde von Walchensee
Unfortunately 90% of the trail is gravel. And at the beginning you had to work uphill on 2 trails in the wrong direction, and a lot of it. And then there were endless gravel paths down. This route could have been planned much better.

Weather was great. Nice trails through the countryside. Few people on the way.

Pleasure tour with obstacles.
Today with Peter along the bank of the reservoir to Vorderriss.
I've wanted to cross the Rissbach over the gravel bed for a long time, but I always had doubts as to whether the water wasn't too deep. To our surprise, the gravel bed was totally dry today and we were happy. But that should change …

...extremely beautiful and varied round - some trails S0, a steep climb S1 (almost all suitable for families) and lots of water to look at - (short hike to the pools on the Schronbach)...

The first half of the tour from Sylvenstein Speicher to Walchensee via Jachenau is beautiful. Unfortunately, the second half is spent almost exclusively on streets and paths between trees, without any significant variety. Every now and then a nice view of the Isar and - it always goes downhill. Certainly a highlight for racing cyclists.
Next time I would simply …

We drove the mapped out path ... moderately difficult? Well, we have to increase it to sporty - difficult. On the trail sections, downhill, it's really difficult, especially after the rain of the last few days, to brake the bikes and to balance on the narrow single trail. Most of the paths are easy to drive uphill, especially on the …

Jumped on the bike full of energy and wanted to go. Rear wheel clicking. Missing screw on the rear swingarm. Cancel home, not an option. Spare parts donor car and hope it lifts.
With ground frost, we started at the Sylverstein reservoir. Warm pedaling uphill and great descent to Walchensee. Along the Walchensee to Jachenau. Then back to single trails. …
