A challenge for us with the tandem. We made it. We drove it once before 1 1/2 years. But it is always beautiful and challenging.

On today's tour, I followed the bike paths. Signage wasn't everywhere, so I took two wrong turns. The tour isn't exactly a highlight, but it was fun.

You can start and finish at the parking lot in front of Merzig Town Hall.

There are two climbs along the way, but they're manageable. Definitely with an e-bike.

For the holiday, I chose a bike tour with plenty of shade. Most of the tours are on traditional Saarland gravel and fallow roads. I prefer cycling in France or the Palatinate region 😉

The official starting point of the tour is usually at the Stadthalle in Merzig!
However, I started at the barrage in Rehlingen. There are plenty of parking spaces and at the end of the tour you can drink something delicious in the beer garden at the barrage. 🍻
