One of my favourite local routes taking in both sides of the the Firth of Tay with superb views from the north and south on mainly quiet rural roads. There are several possible café stops with which to break up the journey, and only two hill climbs of note (at Gauldry and Kinnoull).

Great day, Wind at our back all the way to Dundee but from Wormit back over Gaudry, Newburgh back to Perth strong headwinds. We are absolutely knackered my legs were gone by 45miles lol! Pedaling down the hills trying to keep moving lol! But we made it back. Free coffee & cake at the finish. Best feeling in the world …

The Eastern end of the tour was picturesque and interesting, the western end into Perth with cycle lane adjacent to the A90 not pleasant though and suggest reroute to minor roads to the north of A90
