This time we parked again "on the other" side, the access road between Froitzheim and Nideggen.

We first took the shady path through the forest before heading into the sunny, blooming heather.

Today we finally did it 🥾 and everyone who was in the heath this August knows what I'm raving about. In recent years the heather has never bloomed as lushly as this year. It was an early morning walk. Around noon, the parking lots were well attended.
