I intended to do the high loop from the rail bridge up around the hills and back into Barmouth but as i started Barmouth side and not Fairbourne i decided a walk to Fairbourne on a hot day would suffice. A nice level walk , can always do the loop another time on a cooler day.
The tour starts at the Morfa Mawdach parking lot (free of charge, toilets).
After having walked along the mouth of Mawdach, the trail follows the railway track by the beach.
After the railway station, take the ferry to Barmouth (adult 3£). Barmouth is a nice town to walk around or have a beer, cream tea or a meal in one …
