Based on its unique design, the building was probably built as a private chapel for the cotton industrialist Arnold Staub, but it was soon used as a garden pavilion for the estate's villa.

Following extensive renovations of the settlement and its surroundings, completed in 2015, the small house now serves as a beautiful and popular wedding venue.

SBI Park (Kuchen Landscape Park)

In 1882, the "Süddeutsche Cotton-Industrie AG Kuchen" (SBI) was created from the merger of the Staub spinning and weaving mill with the Emil Waibel & Co. company. In its heyday, the SBI operated spinning mills in Kuchen, Geislingen-Altenstadt and Waltenhofen as well as weaving mills in Kuchen and Günzburg under its board of directors, led by Emil Waibel. After the difficult war years, the company, now renamed "esbi", profited from the economic miracle of the 1950s. Esbi now employed over 2,000 workers.
When the potential of hydropower at the factory location itself was no longer sufficient, Arnold Staub installed another turbine on the Filswehr in Gingen, whose energy he brought with a wire rope transmission over a distance of 467 m to the looms of the weaving mill. The tower with the wire cable transmission can still be seen in the SBI Park today
