Friston Forest MTB Trails - Crater
Scary carter, only attempt if you are confident, worth checking from the bottom first to get an idea what your letting yourself in for. I've only done this one once - it felt great but never again :-0
Exact location and more details- Source sxmtbmaps
"A bomb hole at the junction of Stumpy and the Fairy Trail. It has 2 routes the easy one from in the woods or the steeper drop from the fire road to its east almost opposite the red route marker. Say the name fast enough and thats what you are likely to lose if you get it wrong"

Friston Short-Cut MTB Trail

Highlight • MTB Park

Friston MTB trail, can't find the name for this one, feel free to suggest.
Any way half way down Dave Nose Best you will find the trail splits, see picture attached to this highlight to help locate. Straight on/right takes you further alone Dave Nose Best to Morticia/crater and other fun - or if you want a change go left and and find a short cut back to cardiac/fire track with a short but fun trail with small jumps - can be combined with joining Tron/Crater Run side.

Short Steep Trail, Friston Forest

Highlight • MTB Park

Friston MTB Trail, don't know the name, feel free to suggest.
Just beyond/north of the start of Redroute and the crossing of Long Brow fire track to the start of Crater Run, there is a short steep/descent on left taking you north. A bit like xfiles but shorter, but be prepared for a climb back out. Combine with the north Trails - White Horse and Flying Daggers.

Moby Dick Chalk Mound MTB Descent

Highlight • Viewpoint

Friston Forest MTB Trails - Chalk Mound
Fun descent from the top of this mound, not so easy to get to the top but worth it!
Exact location and more details- Source sxmtbmaps
"This a large horse shoe shaped chalk mound found at the end of the Fairy Trail just before you cross Cardiac . Climb up onto Moby Dick from the north and follow one of the ridges to the apex and highest point. From here you can drop down to Cardiac, go straight across to pick up 'Rattle and Hum' and continue to the 'Candy Canes', or stop for a breather while the others catchup, or better still nip back around and have another go."

Friston Forest MTB trails
Lots of fun to be had here, including family bike routes, but even better is the mtb trails. There is loads of routes, to many to detail here, best to explore. I find this site good for planning routes:
sxmtbstmaps.co.uk/index.html

Parking can be found either side of the forest, east side - seven sisters country park or further north at the forestry commission car park on the Litlington road. Or west at butchershole car park.

Friston Forest MTB Trails - Crater
The third of the craters you find on the Crater Run trail, the better of the three for those starting out/building confidence.
