The main goal was the so-called Carl-Hirnbein-Weg from Weitnau as a family hike. This one is really well done and something for children (lots of play opportunities) as well as for adults (history of the Allgäu). It leads about 7 km from Weitnau to Missen-Wilhams. You should plan a lot of time, as there are really many nice play areas …
