For a tourist visiting Szczawnica for the first time, it may come as a surprise that here - in a mountainous area, practically devoid of flat places, there is a large lake. Coming closer, the surprise grows at the sight of the fish that live here, among the water lilies. Many people sit on benches placed along the shore, or watch the fish from a concrete pier equipped with a railing. In case of rain, you can walk around the lake and take shelter in the gazebo on the high bank on the side of the park chapel.
