Christa Kinshofer Ski Center Sonnbichl

Highlight • Climb

The ski center now bears the name of former ski racer Christa Kinshofer. The slope extends at an altitude of 835 to 1025m above sea level with a route length of approx. 580m and is divided into different training lines for slalom and giant slalom training. German slalom championships have been held here several times, e.g. in 2013. The women's slalom European cup is also a regular guest here. Highlights were the slalom world cups in 1982 and 1985 with the well-known winners Ingemar Stenmark and Marc Giradelli.

Aueralm

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Traditional alpine pasture in the Tegernsee mountains with a high attraction for young and old. Beautifully situated above Bad Wiessee on the way to the Fockenstein. The core of the Alm is a beautiful wooden building with a converted roof, attached stable and some outbuildings. Very large south and east-facing terraces adjoin the main building, which also accommodate larger numbers of visitors. The buildings stand on a small hill, east of the Fockenstein, surrounded by alpine meadows.

Fockenstein Summit

Highlight • Summit

Magnificent view of Lake Tegernsee and, further east, Lake Starnberg. The way up falls more into the category of "alpine mountaineering", so it requires a certain degree of surefootedness, but can also be mastered without much experience.

Neuhüttenalm

Highlight • Mountain Hut

If you drive from the Aueralm to the Neuhütten you get, if you come from the top, the impression in a small mountain village down. Worth seeing and very idyllic.

Old Wiessee

Highlight • Settlement

In the area south of the lake promenade in the historic part of Wiessee there are a number of old but very well-kept farms, such as the Kainzenhof. There is also one of the very old granaries ("Troadkasten") from around 1650. A great ensemble!
