Wonderful view of a beautiful section of the Mur near St. Georgen.

Nicely decorated small petting zoo with many cute rabbits and 2 more shy alpacas. Similarly, a smaller herd of fallow deer is on site.
For little visitors and vacationers from the Woody Park settlement a nice pastime.

The Church of St. Georgen is in the middle of the village of St. Georgen am Kreischberg. Only in the later Gothic period was the church given a Gothic style, made with three naves and vaulted.
On August 23, 1188, the Romanesque basilica, which had probably been under construction for a decade, was consecrated by Archbishop Albert of Salzburg and handed over to its intended purpose. On June 3, 1298, Archbishop Rudolf von Salzburg transferred Otto von Liechtenstein's feudal contract to the parish church of St. Georgen an der Mur, which had to serve as the canteen of St. Virgil Abbey in Friesach.

Wooden Europe Bridge St. Georgen is currently the largest self-supporting wooden bridge in Europe, approved for heavy goods traffic, connecting St. Georgen with St. Lorenzen and is a masterpiece of Styrian timber construction.
550m³ of sap-free Styrian larch glued laminated timber was used in the construction with 69 t of steel bracing. The bridge is 85m long, 8.60m wide and towers over the Mur with a height of 25m and a span of 45m.
The bridge impressively illustrates the possibilities of constructive glued wood construction and can be seen as an impulse project for timber bridge construction.
The Wooden Europe Bridge is part of the Wooden World Tour BAU meets ARCHITECTURE.
