Kristall Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Kristallhütte is located in the Hochzillertal ski area at 2,147 meters.
In summer it is a popular destination for cyclists. The modern hut with a rustic ambience and a large panoramic terrace is a great mountain destination.
The sundowner evening menu (with advance notice) or the sunrise breakfast (Thu, Fri, Sat, Sun - without registration) are pretty cool.

Summer opening times: Thursday from 9 a.m. to midnight
Friday and Saturday from 8 a.m. to midnight
Sunday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Wimbachkopf Summit and Stoamandlweg Trail

Highlight (Segment) • Summit

Very beautiful, not really difficult path between the Kristallhütte and the Wedelhütte. Great view! For me, the highlight of the section is the superbly crafted summit cross of the Wimbachkopf.

Wimbachkopf Summit

Highlight • Summit

Beautiful summit with a great view of the surrounding mountains. The ascent is not too difficult. The summit cross is beautifully worked and compensates for the effort of the ascent!

Marchkopf (2,499 m)

Highlight • Summit

You have to be pretty sure-footed as it is a steep downhill walk and there is no safety equipment. Only recommended if it is dry and you have absolutely no fear of heights

Melchboden Snack Hut

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Cozy snack bar with stunning views of the Zillertal, Kitzbühel and Tux Alps. The Jausenstation Melchboden is located directly on the Zillertaler Höhenstraße and can also be reached by bus from Mayrhofen. There is also a large hiking car park right next to the pasture. Thus, the snack station is perfect as a starting and ending point for your hikes.
