Habicht

Highlight • Summit

As one of the easier to reach 3000m peaks in the Eastern Alps, the Habicht is a popular destination. It is one of the Seven Summits of the Stubai Valley and offers fabulous views of the neighboring peaks of the Stubai Valley. Among other things, the views of Serles in the north-east, Wilder Freiger and Zuckerhütl in the south-west and the Tribulauen in the south are splendid. From the Innsbrucker Hütte it is about 1000 meters in altitude to the summit, the path is technically not very demanding, but should not be underestimated due to the height and length of the tour. Sturdy shoes and sure-footedness should be present in addition to good stamina.

Shortly before the final climb to Habicht, this simple, stone-built rest stop offers shelter from the wind and space for a well-deserved break. Surrounded by rugged rock and breathtaking views of the Stubai and Zillertal Alps, this is a place to recharge your batteries – a quiet, impressive spot at over 3,000 meters, where nature and humanity join hands for a moment.
