Preserje Pond

Lake Preserje (pond) is located in the settlement Preserje not far from Braslovče along the regional Šentrupert - Mozirje road. It was created by damming the Struga, the lateral arm of the Savinja River. Near the lake is a well-maintained fishing house of the Šempeter fishing family with a restaurant.

The Preserje pond is known primarily for offering good conditions for active relaxation through two-pond sport fishing. In a larger pond on 3 ha of water surface (pike, ski, catfish, carp, undergrowth, chub, barbel, tile, amur, greenery, red-eye) and a smaller pond on 0.5 ha of water on which the catch-and-drop system applies (carp, amur, chub, red-eyed, tile).

Savinja River Dam

The Savinja is the left tributary of the Sava River in Slovenia. It originates in the Kamnik-Savinja Alps, flows through the Upper Savinja Valley and the Lower Savinja Valley, and flows into the Sava River at Zidani Most. It is the sixth longest river in Slovenia in length and the longest that flows entirely through Slovenian territory.
