December 21, 2022,Hike around the Lake of Bled and a visit to the castle - easy connection to public transport
The starting-point is just 5 minutes away from the railway station "Bled Jeseninice" (Bled sea)
The tour around Lake Bled is simply great, the photos should speak for themselves😁
One beautiful view follows the next and you still can't get enough of it. The tour around the lake is easy to walk and has just 60m of elevation, you are on either tarred or gravel paths the whole time.
And on to the challenging part: …

Nice walk, good pace... I also climbed the castle (visible in the pictures) which offered an even better view, even of Triglav, I hope to get there one day😉.

I managed to lure my husband along for a lovely walk around Lake Bled - with a delicious lunch along the way.
Somewhat cloudy today, but no rain and OK temperature

Finally it's vacation! 🍺😎👍🏻

On our way to Croatia, where we are staying for 2 weeks, we had planned an overnight stay at Lake Bled on the way there.
The lake with the bright blue colored water and the well-known island with the equally well-known church is the most touristic attraction in Slovenia.

The ascent and descent to enjoy the view is tough, especially since we had prepared ourselves for a "lake promenade with a small detour".😜😜

From Most to Soči you can get to Lake Bled by train for free with the Julian Alps Card: Soča Valley. You get this at the tourist information centers for €25. With it, almost all entrances, especially the gorges in the Soča Valley, are free and many tourist shuttle buses.
