March 5, 2024,Mallorca - Pla de Mallorca: Reserva Natural de S'Albufera - Se Roca, Es Cibollar und Es Colombars
A paradise for bird watching - that's what we named this bird watching tour on our first visit in April 2021.

The 1,646 hectare S'Albufera wetland was declared a nature reserve in 1988 and is part of the EU's Natura 2000 network as a bird protection area (SPA) and special protection area (SAC).

The whole park is criss-crossed with canals and small lakes and we actually wanted to go around the whole park on the long …

The information center is about 1 km past the entrance. From there, there are four tours ranging from < 1 km to 12 km. I liked the two short green and purple …

The S'Albufera Landscape Park is the largest wetland and bird sanctuary in the Balearic Islands. With a little patience and binoculars, there are hundreds of different feathered friends to be discovered at various observation stations. However, the flamingo is only a migrant here, attracted by rich food sources. If the mosquitoes haven't eaten you up, you can stop for a …

This is the last hike of this vacation. We wanted to go back to the nature reserve, but were a bit disappointed, as we saw significantly less than last time.

From the car park, a 750-metre path along the canal leads to the visitor centre of the Parc Natural de s'Albufera de Mallorca.
Entry to the park is free, and there you can get a map with various routes to the observation huts. During our visit, we particularly liked the huts Es Cibollar 1 and 2. The variety of bird …
