September 23, 2023,Odenwald: Burgruine Tannenberg – Burg Frankenstein, Runde von Nieder-Beerbach
A beautiful and varied tour in the northern Odenwald with two castles, lakes, many paths and forest paths. This tour has one small drawback. The signposted castle path between the Tannenberg castle ruins and Frankenstein Castle runs along the road for about 400 m. But it is also signposted.

A hike to Frankenstein Castle had been planned for a long time, but either the weather wasn't right or I wasn't up for it. Today both met in positive harmony 😊

We started at the Friedensquelle hiking car park (there are shady spots).

On the Burgensteig and the Alemannenweg via Frankenstein Castle to the Tannenberg ruins.
A short detour to Seeheim, because it's still the ice age.🍨☕️
Conclusion at the Darmstädter Hof - Rouladen Week... I think it's time for a fruit day. 😇
Great start to October. 😎

Today we went for a Sunday hike on the northern mountain road to the ruins of Frankenstein and Tannenberg. It turned out to be a great tour with some sights. Including the two ruins, of course. But also a few great views of the Rhine-Main plain as far as Frankfurt. And that, although the weather did not allow so wide …
