The Zöllnerpfad Namborn was completed in early 2021. The work on the approx. 10km long circular hiking trail began in spring 2020. The tour leads around Namborn and Heisterberg. The Customs Officer's Trail in Namborn surprises with quiet paths, great views, and little discoveries along the way. The field of sunflowers was a real eye-catcher 🌻 – in the middle of nowhere, yet full of life. The old memorial and the carved plaque in the forest also made me pause.

This circular trail follows the former border between Saarland and Germany, established after the Treaty of Versailles in 1920, when Saarland was still French. The border stones are marked with "S" for Saarland and "D" for German Reich.
