A nice little place, which lies on the large Heuberg. This plateau is one of the highest points of the Swabian Alb.

Gasthaus Rumpelkiste

Highlight • Restaurant

A restaurant whose name makes you sit up and take notice! Even more so when you learn that it is located in the former station building and that the cutlery cupboard hides secrets...

Lau Hut on Martinsberg

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The Lau hut built by the local group was used as a refuge on the wood meadows (Martinsberg) at 941 m above sea level. NHN built. In 1986 the hut was completed in just five months by the members and friends of the association.

The hut is often catered for on Sundays. There is a very nice playground around the hut.

St. Wolfgang Chapel on Scheibenbühl

Highlight • Religious Site

Very nice chapel, which you absolutely have to see. The Way of the Cross is also very beautiful. 👍🤩
The most dominant chapel in Obernheim stands on the 947 m high Scheibenbühl, towering over the village surrounding the Scheibenbühl. Although today's St. Wolfgang chapel was only built in 1869 and is therefore the youngest of Obernheim's chapels, it has the most historic past. A chapel also dedicated to St. Wolfgang was demolished in 1812. It stood on a small hill below the Kirchlebühl and was probably built around 1313. In 1894, the small altar that had been installed in the church from this chapel was installed in this new church on the Scheibenbühl. The construction of the St. Wolfgang chapel was mainly financed with donations. Older locals also know the chapel under the name "Holy Grave Chapel". The body of Jesus is depicted in the base of the altar.

Josefskapelle on the Ortenberg

Highlight • Religious Site

Also Joseph's Chapel. Nice place. You can rest well on the benches next to the chapel, and there is also a fireplace here. The chapel was built in 1864 as the Steighof's house chapel, but it burned down a few years after the chapel was built.
