Start of Scala di Santa Regina

Highlight • Canyon

The "Scala du Santa Regina" is an absolutely spectacular road along the "Canyon de La Ruda". The narrow road winds its way along overhanging rocks and granite outcrops. An insider tip for racing cyclists!

Bocca d'Ominada

Highlight • Mountain Pass

The Bocca d'Ominada leads with just over 200 meters of altitude from Corte to the eastern ramp of the Col de Vergio and is the pleasant, because low-traffic alternative to the parallel main line N193. The road is well developed and pleasant to drive, the descent is sparing with the altitude and the village of Castirla is very picturesque on the mountain.

A spectacular and enchanting descent into the Ruda Gorge... the historic old town of Corte? Many of the old buildings are in disrepair, an impressive collection of tourist restaurants, and Piazza Paoli, the main square, has been transformed into a giant parking lot for big-bikes—a real disappointment for me. A cool hotel in Santo Pietro di Venaco.
