Million Bridge - view of the wet triangle

Highlight • River

The so-called "wet triangle", near Hörstel-Bergeshövede in the Tecklenburger Land region, refers to the waterway triangle where the Mittellandkanal (MLK) branches off from the Dortmund-Ems-Kanal (DEK) at km 108.35 and crosses the Teutoburg Forest. The ridge here shows a striking, natural incision (Gravenhorster gorge) between the Huckberg and Bergeshöveder Berg, which follows the MLK.

A nice little street with good pavement, slightly sloping when you come down from the post office and at the end the chapel bridge over the DEK

Riesenbecker Postweg Climb

Highlight (Segment) • Climb

The Riesenbeck Postweg is a nice, crisp climb over the Teutoridge. At the motorway bridge you have to watch out for cross winds when you are leaving, it can blow you away.

Picturesque route south of Ibbenbüren

Highlight (Segment) • Cycleway

Hello dear people,
If you don't want to ride your racing bike through Ibbenbüren town, there is a charming alternative or section here. I would give the asphalt of the side road a grade of 2. Be careful with the two cushions mounted on it (they are supposed to reduce the speed). If you choose this option, you will be rewarded with the idyllic scenery of the adjacent Teutoburg Forest (near the "Dörenther Klippen") and the view of Ibbenbüren. Have fun with and on the section.

Old Mill Brochterbeck

Highlight • Monument

A gem in the middle of Brochterbeck. There's ice cream right next to the mill. So you can take a little break and enjoy the clatter of the mill.

Historic Market Square, Rheine

Highlight • Historical Site

With its 73,000 inhabitants, Rheine is the second largest city in the Münsterland. The city is divided into almost two equal parts by the Ems, but the Dortmund-Ems Canal is also not far away. In addition to some very beautiful baroque buildings (such as the mill on the Emswehr), Rheine offers a variety of nature experiences such as the saltworks park in the northwest or the nature zoo.

Manni showed me my "favorite gradient" (14%) at km 24. Then I took a wrong turn at km 40.2. That's why the "round" looks so crooked and is 7.5 km longer. I didn't quite understand Garmin's re-routing though. He then sent us back on the way there, which I didn't notice at first.
