We had saved the most beautiful part for last. Unfortunately, the BMW factory security thwarted our plans and didn't open the gates. So we had to turn back for a bit and walk along the boring road to the car.
It was a beautiful tour nonetheless, and we rode the closed-off section by bike some time ago.
