May 5, 2024,Sinterterrassen – Runde von Gutenberg
Today, after a long time, we met up with @Ömchen&Öpchen to go hiking again.
Despite the not-so-good weather forecast, we decided to set off. We went to the travertine terraces in Gutenberg.
It was grey at first, but at least the first few kilometers were rain-free. We did get a heavy rain shower, but luckily it didn't last long and …

Since we were nearby, we thought the travertine terraces in Gutenberg would be a good destination for a hike. The valley is beautiful to look at and perfect for hiking, but traveling there just for the terraces isn't worth it, as you can't really get close to them.

Attempting a hike after a break of almost four weeks. Still not ideal but at least I was able to complete the lap.
A small but for me very fine round through forest and meadows with the highlight of the sinter terraces.

Wonderful tour. Very nice route, and only a "homoeopathic" dose of altitude. The landscape is very delightful. On this weekday with my partner traveling almost alone and the 8 kilometer distance went by in a flash. This tour will be done again in spring when everything is green again. Here are some impressions of the wonderful landscape.
