Despite objections from residents of the Morawica and Chęciny communes, the provincial authorities decided last year to rebuild the reservoir. There was only one condition - Borków was to be rebuilt in such a way that it would constitute real flood protection and would not succumb to another major flood. It is being built within the boundaries of a former reservoir with an area of 40 hectares.
