Rummelsburger Lake

Highlight • Lake

The lake is a bay of the Spree. The Rummelsburg district of the Lichtenberg district, after which the bay is named, borders on the bay, as does the Friedrichshain-Kreuzberg district.

Hansa-Ufer Waterfront

Highlight • River

I am fascinated by the many different boats here - they really enhance the shore. On one of the boats there is a nice cozy cafe.

Highlight • River

Scenes from the DEFA classic "The Legend of Paul and Paula" were filmed on Rummelsburger See - the boat trip in particular is forgetful to the film's viewers.

Today, idyllic Berlin...

The Berlin peninsula of Stralau in the Rummelsburger Bucht can be explored wonderfully on a hike. Beautiful shore paths lead past self-built houseboats, bank benches in the reeds, lush green meadows, and sailboats bobbing on the water.

After the general cancellation of football in Berlin, I had a football-free weekend, which I used today for a small winter round from my home base. I wish everyone a nice 1st Advent.

A short Advent walk around the Silbersee. Anyone who knows the place from bygone times sees how enormously the whole thing has been upgraded. Yes, new, apparently high-priced residential buildings have been built there. But in the middle of the city and then in this location - who is surprised 😉 We liked it ’

Nice little tour always along the water. Lots of great views.

My tour tip starts at Treptower Park S-Bahn station and then leads over to the Stralau peninsula. The approximately 5-kilometer-long path (almost) always leads along the water and offers many beautiful views.

Inspired by @Julian , unfortunately there wasn't enough time for the extension to the east, so no tear jaws seen 😪

From Ostkreuz to Rummelsburger See. Here along the Paul and Paula Ufer via Alt Stralau and Wendenpark to the Spree riverside promenade. Our walk ends at the Treptower Park S-Bahn station.

The small group tour (it's the holidays... 😃) took us from the Nöldnerplatz S-Bahn station to Rummelsburger Bucht and all the way around the Stralau peninsula. There's something for everyone and there was already a lot going on on a Sunday morning. What will it look like here on a weekend in summer?
The Olympic Village originally planned for 2000 …

The weather is absolutely awful! Oh well, nothing for it, I need to get moving. I knew the Stralau peninsula mainly because of the bottle factory. Otherwise, a few years ago I walked around Lake Rummelsburg and was tempted to call the water rescue service, given the number of half- or completely sunken shipwrecks in the lake. It looks much …
