La Portella Pass

Highlight • Mountain Pass

Key step that, on the way up, allows us to enter the Agulles region, guarded by the Gran de la Portella rock on the right and the Petita rock on the left.
The stepped channel formed by the erosion allows us to progress without much difficulty, although we will have to use our hands, more for balance than for progression.

Agulles Vicenç Barbé Refuge

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Located in the middle of the Montserrat region of Agulles, this is one of the two preserved facilities that the Federation has in the Montserrat massif. It is named after the climber Vicenç Barbé, who died in 1942 while climbing the Frares Encantats. Inaugurat el gener de 1961, la iniciativa de construir aquest refugi fou de la Delegació Catalana de la Federació Espanyola de Muntanyisme (l’actual FEEC). Hiking, equipped paths and above all climbing are the star activities that can be done from this refuge. Different tours around the Agulles region (through the Estret gate, through the Porc pass); the return to les Agulles, les Frares and Echos through the Migdia gate; the crossing to the Monastery on the GR 172; the PR-C 78 - which passes through the refuge-; and 900 classic and sport climbing routes that climb to the top of 160 rocks and needles are some of the arguments within reach of the mountaineer.

Font de l'Esllavissada

Highlight • Cave

Cavity 23 meters long by 5 meters wide. It is formed under some rocks
off the cliff, hence the toponym of the landslide. Inside there is a small perennial water cistern, built in 1947, and next to it there is a chest with a fountain, which although years ago we had seen in good condition, is currently unusable. All of this favored the climbers' stay.
Known since time immemorial. Mentioned in all the collections of cavities and guides of
Montserrat, but of little speleological interest.

Montgròs Peak (1,133 m)

Highlight • Summit

Huge hill, with an appearance similar to a large massif, located in the middle of the mountain of Montserrat. The top of the hill is very flat and large. As David Hita says, this peak invites rest and contemplation. Montgròs, due to its location and height, dominates practically the entire mountain. From the top the panorama is truly majestic. The normal ascent to the summit was made by a group of people in 1880 under the direction of Cèsar August Torras.

Roca Foradada (Holed Rock)

Highlight • Natural Monument

One of the most emblematic places in Catalonia is undoubtedly the mountain of Montserrat. There are several interesting routes in the area, including the excursion to the Roca Foradada de Montserrat, a large hole (about 10 meters high by 6 wide) with views that will take your breath away. It is incredible that the wind and water have pierced the Roca Foradada de Montserrat in this way. Take the opportunity to take lots of photos!

Coll de Can Maçana Viewpoint

Highlight • Viewpoint

Viewpoint of the Can Maçana pass, where a panel has been installed from which we can see the entire Bages region, a large part of Anoia and the Vallès Occidental with the Pyrenees in the background. If the day is clear we can perfectly identify the mountains thanks to the panel.
