Both mountain ridges owe much of their attraction to the evergreen ilex, through which we finally graze downhill, following a washed-out trail.

The tour wasn't that long but going up and down the steep trails with the dog cart was pretty intense 🥵😂☺️🙋🦋

At the end there was a delicious non-alcoholic Hefeweizen or Radler for us in the Bur at the campsite - that fizzed well 😜

Demanding trail. Good footwear and surefootedness required. Currently very muddy in places, especially where you share the trail with horses.

A lovely little hike up to Isenburg Castle. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't great today, so the view wasn't quite as nice, but that just means we have to come back again. Well, we'd be happy to, but next time we'll make the hike longer.

Today we went with the anxious Kito to Isenburg again, via Nierenhof and back to Kressenberg
The constant bangs 🧨 were quite stressful for the furry friend 🙈
May everyone be healthy and happy in 2025 🐷🍀Here's to new adventures in the new year 🤩

Great view from the Isenburg Castle, interesting ruins, and beautiful forest paths. A lovely loop; surefootedness is a plus.

The paths were also narrow and slippery in places. So I was alone with myself and my thoughts, and my feet …
