After a short distance, the first "smaller" areas of bluebells appear in the deciduous forest. But that changes soon after a few hundred meters. A "dream in blue" opens up.

It is worth taking a walk here in the 2nd half of April, when the rabbit bells are in bloom.

🌸✨ Hike through Doveren – Missed the bluebell spot ✨🌸

🚶‍♀️Magical tour through Doveren, but the 🌿💙 bluebells are almost finished blooming this year... 🌾😢
🌱 Note to self: be sure to come earlier next year to experience the full bloom! 🌸📅

🌳 Still, stunning nature & a lovely walk 💚🍃

Nice tour along the Doveren Bach, a lot through the forest and NSG.
In the NSG Doverener Bruch the winding path leads past the lake through impressive forest sections.
The NSG Am Hinterster Berg is particularly well-known in the 2nd half of April for the blooming of the rabbit bells. The whole forest is then covered like a blue carpet. …

So nice, the bluebells and wild garlic are also available on the round.

Today we wanted to hike the "Forest of the Blue Flower" with a small hiking group, starting from the parking lot at "Haus Hohenbusch".

Double luck: In the April weather that had been prevailing for weeks, we caught a rain break of about three hours, only at the final stop in "Haus Hohenbusch" did the rain showers start again.

Unfortunately, the blue flowers had already faded. I was too late. But there were some nice big foxglove plants to see.

I'm also having trouble getting to my own tours in a timely manner at the moment...

Last Sunday we hiked to the Forest of Blue Flowers.

It's located near the town of Doveren, near Hückelhoven.

I had already seen the suggestion for this in 2022 at @Elfi and in 2023 at @Eifellothar.
Thank you very much for that!

Hello everyone,
finally managed to do the tour today that I had been wanting to hike for 3 years and now also with my 10-year-old daughter.

Overall a nice tour. Beautiful partly avenue-like forest paths and a small lake, on the other hand many blooming fields.

We managed to get a quick look at the bluebells before they finally faded and, of course, the fantastic fields of rapeseed that you can now see all over the country.
