Doable with a dog, but your dog should be used to hiking on rocky, steep terrain. It's also strenuous and not recommended in warm temperatures, even though it mostly goes through the forest. And a tip: wear long clothes! Mosquito alert in early June!

By the way, in Castelvecchio (Altenburg) there is a glass beer shop, and the waiter recommended us the pizza, which is probably available there from 5:15 p.m....
