The Altmühltal Panorama Trail is approximately 200 km long, starting in Gunzenhausen and ending in Kehlheim. For me, the trail started in Treuchtlingen, as I've already hiked the route from Gunzenhausen.
The tour isn't too long, but I wanted to see the town and, of course, the castle.

The car is parked at Treuchtlingen train station and the path leads across fields, meadows and forest to the well-preserved castle town🏰Pappenheim with its stunningly beautiful old town with countless monuments⛪️🏰💒🏘️ from the Middle Ages, Baroque and Romanesque periods.
