This scenic park, spanning 306 acres, surrounds the beautiful Lagoon Lake. It includes plenty of open space, multi-use trails, and is a popular place for hosting outdoor events. Several picnic tables and benches are along the water, making it an ideal place to begin and end a run.

Peña Adobe Lagoon

The lagoon is adjacent to Peña Adobe Park, whose 1½ acres protect the oldest structure built in Solano County, the Peña Adobe, built in 1842. It was the former home of the Peña family, who received a land grant while California was part of the independent Mexico after its independence from Spain, on the condition that they create a cattle farm and first European settlement in the valley penaadobe.org/about

California State Prison - Solano

From the highest point of the ridge in Lagoon Valley Park there is a straight view down into what looks like a Concentration Camp: California State Prison - Solano. The male-only prison holds over 5000 inmates, double its design capacity. The adjacent California Medical Facility prison has a design capacity of 2,179 but a total institution population of over 3,000 sick inmates. The California prison construction boom between 1984 and 2005 was driven by years of increasingly tough anti-crime legislation, and began with the construction of California State Prison, Solano, which opened in August 1984 en.wikipedia.org/wiki/California_State_Prison,_Solano
