Kobarid, or Caporetto in Italian, is a small lively town on the Soča River. The best known point is "Napoleon's bridge" where the Napoleonic troops marched and it is a truly spectacular place. Kobarid was one of the most important partisan recruitment centers for the fight against Italian fascism.
