When traveling along the cycle path that goes up from Trezzo d'Adda towards Lecco, it is mandatory to pass through this point. Here you have the opportunity to admire the San Michele di Paderno bridge from afar and also the barrage locks for the management of the waters of the Adda river

The Alessandro Taccani hydroelectric power plant is a work of architectural art located in Trezzo sull'Adda, along the right bank of the Adda river. Founded by industrialist Cristoforo Benigno Crespi, the plant has been generating clean and sustainable energy for over a century. Every year, it produces around 60 million kilowatt hours, equivalent to the average annual consumption of 24 thousand families. Behind her, the medieval castle of Trezzo, with its 42 meter high square tower towering above it.

Monumental Cemetery of Crespi d'Adda

Highlight • Historical Site

The cemetery designed by Gaetano Moretti has a rectangular planimetric shape and is located south of the village near the confluence of the Brembo with the Adda, reachable through an artery over 300 meters long, continuing the main avenue.

The complex is set in an agricultural environment of cultivated countryside: the whole plot to the right of the avenue and the cemetery, now uncultivated undergrowth, was once cultivated with vineyards and orchards while on the opposite side there was cereal cultivation.

The entrance takes place by means of a wrought iron gate positioned centrally on the north side, right in front of a majestic pyramid-shaped funeral monument that forms the backdrop of the cemetery.

The Crespi mausoleum consists of three galleries, a central staircase and an altar dedicated to the SS. Redeemer and to Saints Onorato and Simplicio; in it the space was prepared for fifty burials and it is the only property that remains today the property of its founders (the rest of the cemetery would be passed on January 1, 1931 to the company S.T.I. - Italian Textile Establishments - which will sell it in 1965 to the Municipality of Capriate San Gervasio).

The family cycle path, well paved and substantially level, with lots of restaurants overlooking the river is worth a visit. Towards the central social cooperative with tavolacci, sliced cheeses and polenta. But for more adventurous routes (sometimes with real all mountain bikes) you just have to cross the river and go backwards to find yourself immersed in stony and steep paths especially from the initial side of Paderno. The final stretch towards Trezzo is surrounded by greenery. Giro the latter I repeat not suitable for families but for skilled drivers with suitable means.
