Cà Raseri to Baitusch Trail

Highlight • Trail

A demanding dirt road, with very hard stretches and exposed to the sun, which connects Cà Raseri to Frondaglio and Baitusch. From there there are three choices: go back from the same road, follow the path that leads to Starleggia (but there will be points where you will have to get off the bike because they are impractical), or continue to climb towards the Frondaglio alp and the Pian dei Cavalli ( this option may also require you to get off the bike). By opting for the last choice, you can have the possibility of a super descent from the Alpe Zoccana towards the Gusone, passing through S. Sixtus and then going down a very easy dirt road towards Starleggia.

Baitusch Alpine Huts

Highlight • Mountain Hut

Baitusch is a group of huts that can be reached from Isola, first along a paved road up to Cà Raseri and then via a dirt road, or via paths from both Isola and Starleggia and Pian dei Cavalli.
It enjoys a beautiful view and is close to a plain where you can stop to relax, have fun or simply have a picnic with friends!
It is also possible, at certain times of the year, to buy cheese, butter and other dairy products directly on the alp!
It's a nice crossroads to pass through if you want to take a nice ride around Pian dei Cavalli

Starleggia Village

Highlight • Settlement

A village in the municipality of Campodolcino at 1565m above sea level, from which multiple paths leave for multiple destinations for those who love walking! Also for MTB, there is a dirt road that goes up to the plain of S. Sixtus from where you can decide whether to head towards Val Sancia or go up to Pian dei Cavalli.

Steep path with some stones in the last part of the climb, but pedaled with Ebike

A beautiful loop; easily rideable up to San Sisto, then it gets steeper. Probably rideable throughout with an e-bike; without an e-bike, there are a few short pushing sections. Beautiful descent, easy in places, a bit challenging. Today we had to leave quickly due to threatening rain clouds; otherwise, the tour could have continued to Lago Bianco.
