The panoramas of this tour cannot be reproduced with pictures ⛰️☀️😊. Varied route, for which a certain basic level of fitness is required. From the Alpenrose hut you have a fantastic view of the surrounding glaciers.

The starting point was the Alpengasthof Breitlahner, which is easily accessible by bus. The weather was pretty poor, but at least it stayed dry most of the time. Normally, you get some fantastic views on this tour, but I wasn't treated to them this time. Passing first the rustic Klausenalm, then the Grawandhütte, I arrived at my destination—the Alpenrosenhütte in …

Unfortunately, the tour ended prematurely, as it had actually snowed at the beginning of September (with no prospect of it improving quickly). So no chance of doing the next stage over the Schönbichler Horn.
We'll just come back next year, the Berliner Hütte is absolutely worth a second visit 😉

A fulfilling day tour
From the Gasthaus Breitlahner (daily parking for €6) first to the Alpenrosenhütte (with kids and a few short breaks in 2 1/2 hours. Accessible on a gravel path) and then about 20 minutes steep and rocky uphill to the Berliner Hütte. The climb is worth it!
We were rewarded with a great view, plenty of sun …

A nice climb to the Berliner Hütte. Through the Zemmgrund past farmed alpine pastures on mostly wide paths. The last 30 minutes to the Berliner Hütte is a well-paved path.

My 50th tour.
It was almost perfect….
Great weather, beautiful mountains, a dream day
The tour is easy and good to go.
The Berliner Hütte is a must-see.

I would divide today's round into three stages, which differ significantly in character and become progressively more impressive. We start at the (still closed) Gasthaus Breitlahner and park the car there (directly in front of the Schlegeis tollbooth) with a daily rate of 6 euros. From here, the path leads directly into the Zemmgrund. On a paved path past alpine …

The last day had dawned again and the descent and the journey home had to be "mastered" today...👋🏻

The weather today looked much better, but before that we had a very varied and delicious breakfast. In good spirits and with lots of experiences in our luggage, we set off in glorious sunshine to descend into the valley, with the day's …
