Bouillouses Refuge

Highlight • Mountain Hut

The renovated refuge offers services and facilities that match the natural site in which it is located. Everything is perfect!
Summer and winter alike, you will find 19 places in the dormitory. You can also pitch your tent (by reservation).
In addition to this, you will find free bivouac areas around the refuge.
Furthermore, the refuge provides a water point and outdoor dry toilets. Note that there is no shower.
A catering service is also available for lunch and dinner (a single service at a fixed time).
In the evening, a single communal meal.

The bullosa lake, in French lac des Bouillouses, is a 149-hectare lake located in the highest part of the Capcir, at 2,016 m altitude. It is located at the foot of the Carlit and the Peric, and is surrounded by a set of ponds, among them, the Carlit ponds. It represents a natural site of great interest. It is also part of the Natural Park of the Catalan Pyrenees, which encompasses the northern Catalan Pyrenees.

Our day tour starts with a bus ride (€6 per person / €16 family ticket) from the large parking lot to the Auberge de Carlit. The path climbs higher and higher over stones and tree roots.
You pass lakes and it's always worth looking back. The path doesn't lead us to the snow, but the air is noticeably cold.
