The approach goes to about 10 km before the starting point of the tour. There is a large parking lot with a 🚌 shuttle to the reservoir - starting point, costs EUR 6.00 per adult and is perfectly organized. Our day tour starts with a bus ride (€6 per person / €16 family ticket) from the large parking lot to the Auberge de Carlit. The path climbs higher and higher over stones and tree roots.
You pass lakes and it's always worth looking back. The path doesn't lead us to the snow, but the air is noticeably cold.
