Kingston is a buzzing area of London that has a thriving riverside eatery scene. Here you can watch the boats go by, have something to eat, and at the same time have a great view of one of London’s oldest bridges.  Kingston Bridge is built of Portland stone and comprises five beautiful elliptical arches. Just a super place to take some time out.

Sunbury Walled Garden

Highlight • Natural Monument

Created at the beginning of the 18th century, Sunbury Walled Garden is a beautiful colourful idyll. Within its ancient walls, there's a huge range of trees, shrubs, climbers and flowers.

The Lendy Memorial lion stands in the centre of the garden, commemorating the life of Major Auguste Frederic Lendy, a French royalist who ran a military school during the 19th century.

The gardens are open from 7.30am - 8.30pm. There's also a cafe and gallery.

Thames Street in Sudbury-on-Thames has a wide pavement and great views of the river. Look across the river to Sunbury Locks and upstream to the weir. The Thames Path long distance walking trail follows the opposite bank here and the Walled Garden is behind you.
