Lots and lots of people. An easy 3000 weather in summer. Also suitable for children used to walking in the mountains. Exposed but never dangerous cable passage.

Martin has actually already said everything. You should keep in mind that it is very easy and narrow.

Piz Boè Summit

Highlight • Summit

A 3000 is always worth it. The Piz Boè, which is so prominently enthroned on the Sella massif, is of course a perfect panoramic mountain. The ascent from Rifugio Boè is partly secured with wire ropes, but can be done entirely without via ferrata equipment if you are sure-footed and have a head for heights. There is a hut to stop at at the top of the summit.

An easy hike in August, but good fitness is required because the climb is steep and steady.
Good hiking shoes are a must, because the descent, due to gravel, rocks, and stones, is not the easiest.
With calm and a little caution, it's very easy.

What can I say, I could get used to it...🫠
After a scenic drive from Cortina d'Ampezzo to the Pordoi Pass, a special treat was waiting for our now battle-hardened calves today... the hike up Piz Boè.🏔
At 3152m, it is the highest mountain in the Sella group and it was a relatively steep 500m climb to the Pordoi Hut …

Piz Boè is one of the easiest 3000-meter peaks to climb. "Climb" is a good description, because on the 3152-meter summit, you'll find families with small children, as well as plenty of tourists and vacationers with dogs. Occasionally, a real mountaineer wanders into the mundane crowd, but they're lost in the noise.

I didn't quite make it to the top, the fear of heights struck. I found the ascent a real challenge, especially on ice/snow. But it was always nice!

Today we went to Pordoi. A breathtaking panorama.
There were a lot of people out and about.
The descent was a bit strenuous. The risk of slipping on the loose stones was very high.

Today we took the bus back to the Val Gardena, then to the Sella Pass and then to the Pordoi Pass. From there, a cable car goes up to the Piz Boe high plateau. Some participants rode up, and a group of seven hiked steeply uphill. On the plateau, the route continued in an arc to the summit massif. There …

We had been talking about doing this Forcella for a long time and today with my friend Giorgio we made this wish possible. I must say that the difference in altitude is not excessive but you feel it for how much has been done in a few km. Arriving at Forcella Pordoi was a great satisfaction as well as a …
