Lochem MTB Trail – Pump Track & Dirt Jumps

Highlight • MTB Park

Too beautiful for a crossbossie, but not officially a bike park

Excellent connecting route between Lochem and Vorden. These two routes are a perfect combination of technical trails with a good flow (Lochem) and more extensive routes for the extra kilometers (Vorden).

Between the fields

An idyllic place. It is special to cycle between the fields and see the Lochemse Berg slopingly on the left. Looks somewhat foreign!

Zwiepse Mill

Highlight • Monument

The Zwiepse Molen, also known as Molen Zwiep, is a characteristic windmill located in the town of Zwiep. The mill is in a beautiful location in the middle of green fields.

The Zwiepse Molen is a so-called stellingmolen, which means that the mill stands on a raised platform, the stelling. This construction makes it easier to operate and maintain the blades of the mill. The mill originally dates from 1869, but has undergone several restorations to maintain its original glory.

The mill is still used for grinding grain and is in operation as an artisan flour mill. It is possible to visit the mill and take a look at the interior. You can see how grain is milled and learn about the history and operation of the mill. There is also a small shop where you can buy different types of flour, ground using the millstones of the Zwiepse Mill.

Groenlose Slinge Lock

Highlight • River

Here you cycle across the Groenlose Slinge: a lowland stream that originates near Winterswijk and flows further along Groenlo and flows into the Berkel between Lochem and Borculo. This stream originally meandered through the city moat of Groenlo, but was later moved north of Groenlo. In the 20th century it largely underwent canalization for improved water drainage. A southern branch, the Ratumse Beek, originates in Germany and flows into the Netherlands at Winterswijk.

A beautiful green place to take a break.

De Lindesche Molen

Highlight • Monument

Ruiterkamp
2016: opening Uutbloashuuske ’t Luiwerk
