Camucia - Corona

Highlight • Cycleway

At the foot of Cortona, which dominates and watches from above, the village of Camucia awaits you after a nice ride on the plain interrupted by the ups and downs of the Umbrian-Tuscan countryside. You can admire the landscapes, refresh yourself, go to the top of Cortona and resume the plain. Suggestive, in winter, the landscape caressed by the fog

Panoramic point a few kilometers from Corona, frequented by many cyclists located near a crossroads where three splendid climbs arrive, not very difficult, the average slopes are between 6% and 8%.
Two climbs start from the Umbrian territory and head to Portole, one part from Petrelle passing through San Pietro a Dame, the other starts from San Leo and follows the provincial road 34 and arrives in Portole.
The third climb is all over Tuscany and passing through Cortona it reaches Portole.
In addition, in the area there are many routes for MTB.
A few tens of meters from the top of the climbs there is a Bar Restaurant with outdoor tables where you can sit and quench your thirst while enjoying an excellent fruit tart homemade by the Bar manager, you can enjoy excellent sandwiches with cold cuts and cheeses from the area.

Cerventosa Pass

Highlight • Mountain Pass

The Cerventosa pass, on the Umbro-Cortonese provincial road, connects the upper Tiber valley and the Cortona area.
The view is beautiful, you can see Monte Amiata, Trasimeno and the plain of Cortona. Handsome!

Flew to Rome from Bishkek. Going to spend 10 days here and slowly make my way home via train/bike

Most beautiful tour we did in Cortona.
Almost car-free on small side streets.
Those who like to ride very steep climbs can do the rounds in the mountains in the opposite direction.
The section from St38 to St 34 would have been too steep for us :)
