Naviglio Pavese Cycle Path

Highlight • Cycleway

Like all the canals that cross Milan, this is also a particularly important waterway, because it connects two of the main Lombard cities: Pavia and Milan. The canals were very important communication routes at the time, comparable to modern railways, because they were able to move goods, but also people. In particular, this waterway ensured the transit of goods in Pavia and then allowed Milan to be connected through the Ticino and the Po to the sea. It is along its path that you can find the remains of the industrial period it was: first of all mills and spinning mills, but also evidence of the agricultural past of this area (farmhouses). All these things can still be observed along the cycle path that accompanies this canal, a very easy road suitable for any type of bike and body.

Today was the dress rehearsal for Thursday. , when it should finally go to Genoa with the racing bike. There were a little fewer kilometers and also fewer meters in altitude. But overall you can compare it quite a bit.

Social lunch at "La Casa dei Nonni," a beautiful farmhouse in Zenevredo. Everything was delicious, from the food to the service, not to mention the Bonarda, simply fabulous. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
