Sea, beach and forest. Sea air and forest air. Warnemünde can be seen from afar by the buildings near the beach.

Stoltera Coastal Forest

Highlight • Forest

The region is particularly important for coastal protection and is home to typical plant species such as sea buckthorn bushes and rare birds such as the sea eagle. The species-rich coastal forest also provides shelter for many animals, including wild boars and deer, which are native to this special environment.

Coastal Forest Promenade

Highlight • Trail

The hiking trail through the forest is nicely shaded in the summer heat. Some of the viewing points are equipped with benches

The promenade is actually officially called the sea promenade, but most Warnemünde residents call it the beach promenade.
The central part runs between the lighthouse and the Hotel Neptun. But it also continues for a few hundred meters after that.
It is illuminated when it is dark.

Hiking tour to the nature reserve Stoltera Wilhelmshöhe Kap Geinitzort Elmenhorst and back to Warnemünde.

Last Saturday we travelled from Warnemünde through the Stoltera National Park to Cape Geinitzort. Our route took us along the cliffs below the beach and also up into the coastal forest.

We love walks on the beach, in all seasons, in all weathers. 😊

Today we used the end of work and the beautiful spring weather for a short stretch along the coast.

The actual goal was a portion of fries at the snack bar at the hotel "Ostseeland", which unfortunately was closed. ASK thanks you 🙃

So it went from Warnemünde to the Technostrand near Elmenhorst and back.

However, I would have expected more from the swell off Warnemünde. Nevertheless: The perceived temperature was well below the specified 4°C for the sections on the beach. This tour was always nice. And I finally …

Warnemünde's most beautiful side

Just head west from the beach promenade, always along the water... Following the coast you get to the Stoltera, the cliff and the coastal forest in the nature reserve of the same name. The steep coast rises imposingly above the narrow beach. At Cape Geinitzort we climb the last of the numerous stairs, hike through the …
