The starting point is Trier - a true treasure trove of Roman architecture that still has a decisive influence on the cityscape. The cycle path leads over the Kaiser Wilhelm Bridge along the left bank of the Moselle, first to the district of Pfalzel, which was the summer residence of the Roman emperors for a long time, and finally to Schweich with its baroque ferry tower.
