Highlight • Monument

The land was purchased in 1910 and the dam completed in 1911. It supplied water to Dallas residents until a new reservoir was completed in 1929. It was then used as a recreational lake.

White Rock Lake Trail

White Rock Lake is a 1,254-acre reservoir formed by the damming of White Rock Creek. The creek flows into the lake and exits through a spillway before joining the Trinity River. The lake, with a maximum depth of 18 feet, is a popular spot for fishing, offering largemouth bass, channel catfish, and white crappie. Cyclists can circumnavigate the whole trail on paved pathways.

Its a straight shot from white rock to the nearest liquor store. Watch out for the homeless sleeping under the bridges and the path that links to the Ridgewood trail sometimes People come down that fast. Its also a very interesting place at night.
